Description
Evident Software has pioneered a new breed of service management software for virtualized applications and
infrastructure. Virtualization enables agile and cost effective data centers; it also creates new management problems that
can undermine the benefits. Our product, Evident ClearStone is designed to simplify the large-scale adoption of virtualization technologies in the enterprise by measuring use, performance and cost.
- It currently provides business intelligence reports focused on specific virtualized technologies and applications.
- In 2008, we’re building real-time visualizations and service accounting features to the product line.
We are seeking Flex Application Developers to join the team. The role primarily involves heavy client side design and
development work using Rich Internet Application technologies like Flex and ActionScript. The developer must have some
knowledge of backend interfaces via server-side Java backends. Responsibilities cover the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and brainstorming, analysis, coding, testing and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Work with a seasoned team of software engineers on the development of the Evident ClearStone product.
- Responsibilities include software design and development (coding, testing, and documentation) of Java and web-based
components within the product
- Projects include the development of new graphical user interface for real-time monitoring and web-based system
configuration/management using the latest rich client programming technologies
- Collaborate with members following an agile software development methodology to deliver on product features
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on Flex/Flex 2/ActionScript application development experience
- Experience with LifeCycle Data Services is a must
- Experience with Flex charting components or third party Flex-base charting components is a must
- Experience with development of real-time web-based user interfaces focused on visualizations of key performance
indicators
- Experience with development of complex web-based portals for system configuration and management
- Familiar with software development lifecycle and processes
- BS/BA or higher in Computer Science or related field
