Evident Software Appoints Industry Veteran Shawn Findlan to Board of Directors

March 23, 2009 · Newark, NJ · Evident Software – a provider of real-time performance monitoring and troubleshooting, capacity planning, and chargeback software for high performance infrastructures and middleware environments – today announced that Shawn Findlan, Managing Partner and Founder of West Avenue Group, has been elected to Evident Software’s Board of Directors.

Findlan brings more than 18 years of technology experience to Evident Software, including extensive knowledge of infrastructure, architecture strategy and experience with leading enterprise customers. Findlan says, “Evident has a great team focused on helping customers across sectors like ecommerce, finance and travel understand the dependencies and constraints in their high performance environments. With a focus today on compute and data grids, and expansion into cloud solutions, they are uniquely positioned in the industry.”

Findlan’s first hand experience in addressing many of the complex technical and business challenges that are essential to growth and IT risk management will be directly leveraged by Evident. Prior to founding West Avenue Group, Findlan was Executive Director & Global Head of Strategic Engineering & Architecture at Morgan Stanley. Before Morgan Stanley, Findlan was VP of Infrastructure and Innovation for Global Credit Trading at J.P. Morgan Investment Bank and Infrastructure Manager for Global Credit Risk Management and Global Derivatives in New York. Findlan was recognized in 2007 as the Best CTO on Wall Street, in 2006 as Computer World Laureate, and in 2005 for Best Technology Initiative.
