Evident Software Personal Information Privacy Policy

Information Storage, Use and Disclosure

This Privacy Policy describes the personal information collection and handling practices of Evident Software. You can visit most pages on Evident Software’s Website without supplying any personal information. However, when you do supply Evident with your personal information such as your name, postal address or email address (“PII”), Evident Software may collect and store the PII, and may use the PII to market our goods and services to you, and to learn more about you and your company so that we can develop better products and services.  If you provide us with PII, you agree that we may contact you via telephone, e-mail or mail for marketing purposes.  We may also share PII you disclose to us with our business partners, so that you may receive information about new products, services and offers that you may be interested in.

Declining Communication

Although most customers appreciate receiving communications from Evident Software, we recognize the importance of providing you with choices. By providing us with PII, you consent to Evident’s use of such PII as set out in this policy.  However, if you wish to opt out of further use or disclosure of any PII you have provided to Evident, please notify us by email to info@evidentsoftware.com.

Children

While Evident Software’s product advertising campaigns and marketing materials may be viewed by children, we do not wish to receive data from minors (those who are under the age of eighteen years old). No information should be submitted to, or posted at, Evident Software’s Web site by visitors under 18 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian.

Legal Compliance; Other Permitted Uses and Disclosures

In all events, Evident reserves the right to use and disclose PII as necessary or appropriate to comply with law or to respond to any subpoena or inquiry by government or any government authority or law enforcement agency.  We may also share your PII with (i) any other companies under common ownership and control with Evident; (ii) service providers under contract to Evident who help with our business operations; (iii) other third parties to whom you explicitly ask us to send your information; and (iv) other business entities with which Evident plans to merge or by whom Evident may be acquired.

Modification of Policy

The effective date of this policy is June 1, 2007.  Evident Software, Inc.’s privacy policy is subject to change at any time and without notice.  In the event this policy is modified, Evident will protect PII in accordance with its privacy policy in effect at the time the PII was disclosed to Evident, or will obtain your consent to use of the PII in accordance with the new policy.
