The following system requirements are prerequisites for deploying Evident ClearStone Live, Evident’s tool for Oracle Coherence monitoring.
Recommended Server Configuration for Evident ClearStone for Oracle Coherence Monitoring
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server SP2 (64-bit recommended)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update 2 and higher (x86_32 or x86_64, 64-bit recommended)
- Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 or later (x86_32 or x86_64, 64-bit recommended)
- Sun Solaris 9/10 (SPARC)
- CentOS v5.3 (x86_64)
- Dual-CPU/Dual-core or Quad-core processors (2.0 GHz+)
- 4GB – 32GB RAM (see note below)
- 8 GB Disk space (additional disk space will be required for deployments that include a Data Warehouse for the ECSL ChronoGraph historical visualization feature)
- Gigabit Ethernet network interface
- Multicast protocol is supported on the network
- Data Warehouse Database (required for the ChronoGraphs optional historical reporting visualization feature – typically deployed on a separate physical server)
- Oracle 10g
- Oracle 11g
Note: The total RAM memory capacity depends on the size of the monitored cluster (number of nodes, named caches, sessions, etc.), real-time update interval (10 sec minimum), the data retention buffer (up to 24 hours), and the number of cluster events when using the Log Monitoring feature. Certain environments may also require additional servers for scaling Evident ClearStone Live across multiple servers.
